For personal use I would say instagram, youtube, facebook, and snapchat are the most ideal. As for professional usage I love youtube to look up PE lessons, twitter for a class account, and blogger for a class blog.
Facebook is most ideal for me. Even if I don't update it, people looking into me find updates through my friends tagging me. For example, I don't post much about the fact that I teach swim lessons during the summer, but I've been tagged in a photo teaching a lesson and had new families approach me about lessons as a result.
Facebook is the most ideal for my lifestyle because it helps me stay connected to all generations and people across the world. Older people are more likely to be active on Facebook than instagram. I also really like Instagrams search feature because once you look at one video related to that topic a lot more pop up. So my search feed or whatever it is called has a bunch of food, workout videos, and bachelorette stuff. But I feel like social media can be a chore. Last week when I was gone at camp and didn't have great internet, it was nice being present in the moment instead of scrolling through other people's lives.
Facebook and Instagram is an idea for my personal life. These two social media allow me to see what my friends are doing while I am away. For professional use, I like twitter and youtube. I can see what other people are doing in there classrooms.
If you are a student in KH7390, please post your blog URL in the comment area. (You will create your blog during the Google unit. So, you do not have to post the URL until you create your blog.)
I use Instagram the most because it's simple and I can scroll through aimlessly...
ReplyDeleteI follow a lot of other teachers and naturalists which keeps my feed interesting and sparks inspiration.

ReplyDeleteInstagram would be my social media of choice. I find it easy to use and a variety of options for posting!
