How could you use social media to enhance your performance in your profession?

  1. I asked one of my campers what she thought we could do:
    > create a Facebook and Twitter page
    > post instructional videos
    > post links to people we support / want to highlight
    > post examine answers
    > respond to questions about course content

I agree & I love that she focused on building classroom and community relationships :)

  2. I think students can become more engaged with course. This could enhance my teaching style because I would have an idea of what information areas the students would like to gain more knowledge.

  3. You could be more organized by putting an online binder together, be more clear with dates by publishing them on social media and reminding dates.

  4. I currently use social media to help me find engaging lessons and activities, but I also hope that putting a professional Twitter/Instagram to use would help me engage with students more inside and outside of class.

  5. Honestly just by seeing what other people are doing in their classrooms. There are so many creative people out there that have found awesome ways to connect with students. We don't have to reinvent the wheel. I also need to save them. Often times I will see something cool and then forget about it.

  6. I certainly find social media useful with finding new ideas that other PE teachers are using. I love pinterest for classroom ideas, this is where I found my #fitwithfam wall idea. This year instead of having a just a wall for students to bring it pictures. would like to make an Instagram page where parents can post their family being active outside of PE.

  7. I can use technology to help me grade more efficiently. I can also use social media to help me find new teaching tools and ideas to help enhance my lesson. I am currently using twitter to keep track of new trends that are happening in physical education.
