Before Tumblr was purchased by Yahoo, I loved the freedom of the bloggers I followed. It came at a time in my life where open identity was something I grappled with and a lot of self-love was generated by my feed and the posts I made.

I have a blog for all my classes on weebly, however going forward I need to make my account stronger. As for my personal favorites for pleasure I like to use instagram and twitter. They are a great way quickly grab info or scroll through some pictures easily. Professional I love YouTube because throughout college it helped spark some lesson plan ideas.

ReplyDeleteThe birthday feature on Facebook is quiet nice. It is too hard to remember when all your friends birthdays are so it is nice of Facebook to let you know. I also love the memories feature to see what I was doing back on that day over the last several years. Nine years ago my pot on today's date was "I am officially banning myself from facebook until I finish Count of Monte Cristo!!! I hate summer reading!!!!!!!" and five years ago I posted a picture of a remote church in Belize. The nostalgia is great. But it can also be effective one day once students have left your classroom for them to remember the projects they created!
